How to set up OBS Droidcam?

First, you will need to have OBS studio installed in your system. So go to OBS official website: https://obsproject.com/ and download it from there. And install this as usual. Launch OBS studio. You will see this kind of interface below.

Now you need to download OBS plugin according to your OBS version as well as according to your OS version. To download OBS plugin visit this page and then download from here: https://www.dev47apps.com/obs/

After downloading run the EXE (for windows). After successful installation of the OBS plugin restart your OBS studio (important). Otherwise, you will not find the extension in OBS studio.

Now the next step, you need to install the OBS Droidcam app on your android or iOS device. Now you open the app, you have 2 options to connect with the OBS. Either you can choose to connect through WiFi or you can use your USB cable to connect through ADB. Here we have used USB as it has low latency compared to WiFi control.

To work with ADB you must have to enable USB debugging from the Developers option. When the first time connects give USB debugging permission.

NOTE: You must have adb driver installed in your system. Otherwise, this method won't work.

Now connect your android with USB cable. You will have this kind of prompt on your android, just accept it.

Now open the app and provide the required permissions to work the app properly. And from OBS studio desktop app "+" on Sources tab. Click on Droidcam OBS. Then click Ok. Now click on Device menu.

Now choose your device with USB option. Click on it. Then click on activate. It will connect through USB cable. Enjoy!!!

Now from OBS preview, you can adjust your virtual camera position.
