Effortless Cross-Platform File Sharing—No Wi-Fi, Cables, or Internet Needed!

Have you ever wished there was a simple way to transfer files between your devices—whether it's Windows, Android, Linux, macOS, or iOS—without needing Wi-Fi, a USB cable, or even an internet connection? Well, you’re in luck.

In this blog post, I’ll walk you through an easy and effective method to move files between all major platforms. The best part? It’s completely free, open source, and has no ads or bloatware. Just clean, fast file sharing.

🔧 Getting Started

First things first: open your web browser and head over to the official website of the tool. On the homepage, you’ll find a “Download” button—click it.

You’ll be taken to a page where you can download the application for your specific operating system. Whether you're on Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, or iOS, this tool has you covered. In this walkthrough, I’ll be using Windows on my PC and Android on my phone.

You can choose from several installation methods—installer package, portable version, or even a command-line install. I personally went with the standalone installer. Simply double-click the file and complete the quick setup.

📱 Setting Up Your Mobile Device

On your mobile device, download the companion app from your platform’s app store. Once installed, head into the app settings and adjust a few preferences to ensure all incoming files are stored in a single folder—just for better organization.

If you plan to send files to more than one device, make sure to enable the "Multiple Recipients" option in the settings.

🔗 Connecting Devices

Now it’s time to link the devices. You don’t need an internet connection, but you do need them on the same local network.

Here's how:

  • Turn on the mobile hotspot from your phone.

  • Connect your PC (and other devices, if needed) to that hotspot.

Once the devices are on the same local network, the desktop app should automatically detect your phone. If it doesn’t, just hit the Refresh button.

📂 Transferring Files

With the connection established, you can now transfer files in a variety of ways:

  • Select individual files or entire folders.

  • Drag and drop files directly into the app window.

  • Even send plain text or use copy-paste functionality.

Choose the device you want to send the files to and hit send. On the receiving end, just accept the transfer and grant storage permissions if it’s your first time.

In a few seconds, your files will arrive safe and sound.

🔁 Reverse Transfers

Want to send files from your phone to your PC? No problem.

  • On the PC, select Receive.

  • On your phone, select Send and choose the files.

  • Tap your PC's name when it appears, and the transfer begins.

That’s it! Easy and efficient in both directions.

⚡ Bonus Tip

If you're noticing slow transfer speeds, I recommend checking out one of my previous tutorials where I demonstrate another powerful method for high-speed transfers. Depending on your use case, you might prefer one method over the other—but both are reliable and user-friendly.
